The United States of America have created immigration laws for all alien nationals who would like to live and work in the country. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services (USCIS) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are the two main agencies who facilitate the application for immigrant status, employment visas and the likes. A Petition process begins from the submission of duly accomplished documents to the USCIS, payment of petition fees and verification of the documents. There are different visa types which cater to every category a beneficiary falls into. Certain restrictions apply for US citizens and Legal Permanent Residents (LPR) filing a petition for an alien relative. Some countries have oversubscribed visa applications and will have to wait until a visa number becomes available for their country.
